Worth Watching: Brene Brown's TED Talk on the Power of Vulnerability

Brene Brown spent six years studying human connection and in this talk shares what she's discovered about courage, shame and feeling worthy of connecting to others.

It's funny. It's honest. I like.

She says we numb vulnerability, fear, disappointment, grief and all things we hate feeling, but in doing so, we also numb happiness, joy and graditude. "Connection is why we're here. It's is what gives purpose and meaning to our lives," she says, and our fear of vulnerability - of being seen - holds us back. "The people who have a strong sense of love and belonging believe they're worthy of love and belonging."

We people are interesting creatures.

Enjoy.
