The Train Tracks captures and shares live, acoustic music played on the Phoenix Metro Light Rail by some of the most talented local musicians and national touring acts to help spread the sounds of the Valley of the Sun to new ears. Keep up with the performances on Facebook or Twitter.

Annnd, check out the latest episode featuring local Tempe band, Black Carl. I've talked about them before. Probably because I kind of like them a lot, as evidenced by the round of sweet emrbaces that starts at 2:50.

Here's an awesome new jingle from What Laura Says from ValleyMetro's Notes music series aimed to encourage people to use public transportation.  

It reminds me of when I first learned how to use the bus. I got grounded in high school for sneaking out, then my parents took my car away and made me take the bus to work, but my mom still had to drive me to the bus stop because there were no stops near my house. 

Silly.

The ability to make people move - to shake the booty and the foot - is by far one of the greatest gifts. Thank goodness for musicians. I talk about marketing all day. That's cool too, right?
